22 families from the B shift enjoyed “Family Day with Drummond”
An updated “Family Day with Drummond” program was held at the company’s Port facilities, during which 88 people made up of B shift employees and their families attended and enjoyed this opportunity to tour the facilities at Puerto Drummond, full of joy and smiles.
At 8:00 in the morning, buses from Santa Marta, El Rodadero and Ciénaga arrived at the company’s facilities with 22 families invited to spend an exciting day there.
The families listening to the welcome speech given by the President of the company, José Miguel Linares, and the Director of Human Resources at the Port, Adriana Isaza.
Commitment
“Family Day with Drummond” began with breakfast, videos and words of welcome from the company’s President, José Miguel Linares, along with the support of the Human Resources team.
The children enjoyed recreation, painting, music and activities related to family integration, and for the parents there was a meeting with the psychologist Karen Castrillón during which they recreated how their lives have been transformed since they started working at the company, the growth they have experienced and how they envision in their futures.
One of the most meaningful moments for the families was when they created models showing how they had grown thanks to the company and how they saw themselves as a family in the future.
Places like the Pier, the Fresh Water Pool Lookout, the Train Workshop, the Patio and 775 Trucks Lookout were the main attractions of this tour, where experts in these areas and piece of equipment provided visitors with information on the work and operations that take place at each of these locations.
After the tour, while listening to the sounds of the saxophone by the R&R group from Santa Marta and enjoying a delicious lunch at the Casino, the great Family Day with Drummond came to an end.
At the end of the visit, the families took home a framed photograph as a memento of their participation in Family Day.
For Drummond, these types of activities are extremely important, since they remind the employees how important and vital they are to the company. We also provide an opportunity for them to come together with their loved ones so they can see firsthand the place where their family members work. We also highlight the importance of industrial safety in each work area and celebrate the employees’ achievements and dedication to the company.
At Drummond Ltd. we are working constantly to provide “Family Day with Drummond” to all the company’s different operating groups.
Later we will provide the dates and sign up procedures for the shifts that have not yet enjoyed this program, both at the Port and in the Mining Operations.
