Drummond Ltd. contributes to strengthening urban mobility in Bosconia, Cesar

*Road network improvement in the Uribe Vélez neighborhood

As part of its commitment to the growth and sustainable development of communities in its areas of influence, Drummond Ltd., in agreement with the Municipal Government of Bosconia and the community, supported the project to improve the urban road network of the municipality.

The initiative included the construction of 1,100 linear meters of rigid pavement, representing more than one kilometer of roads improved for pedestrians, motorcyclists and vehicles, strengthening urban mobility.

The works were carried out mainly in the Uribe Vélez neighborhood, with an intervention of 595 linear meters, followed by the Teresa Urbina neighborhood (258 meters), San Martín (117 meters) and the El Instituto sector (117 linear meters).

This project is delivered to the Municipality of Bosconia under the pillar of Corporate Social Responsibility, Governance for Development, in the Line of Investment of Institutional and Community Infrastructure, reaffirming the coordinated work between the company, the local authorities and the community.

“These actions reflect our commitment to projects that generate well-being and sustainable progress in the territory,” said Yilda Tatiana Pineda García, senior supervisor of community and government relations for Drummond Ltd. in Cesar.

For his part, the mayor of Bosconia, Jorge Patiño Gómez, highlighted the impact of the project for the municipality: “the improvement of our urban road network represents a significant advance for Bosconia. We appreciate the support of Drummond Ltd. and the joint work that today translates into better roads and opportunities for our citizens.”

“These roads improve our daily mobility and increase the value of our neighborhoods. “It is a project that directly impacts our quality of life,” said Luz Mery Lizcano Cervantes, president of the Community Action Board (JAC, as per its acronym in Spanish) of the Uribe Vélez neighborhood, in Bosconia, Cesar.

Contributions that strengthen regional infrastructure in 2025

It is worth noting that, during 2025, Drummond Ltd. promoted works that add up to nearly 2 kilometers of rigid concrete pavement, through roads that connect communities and revitalize the territory in the department of Cesar. These interventions were carried out in La Jagua de Ibirico, with 675 linear meters, and in El Copey, with 1,200 linear meters, contributing to more efficient circulation and better integrated urban environments.

With these types of initiatives, Drummond Ltd. reaffirms its commitment to continue contributing to the comprehensive development of the municipalities where it has a presence, through projects that strengthen infrastructure and generate benefits for communities.
