In the immediate aftermath of the gale that struck the township of Casacará, teams from
Drummond Ltd. and the Agustín Codazzi Mayor’s Office visited the community to assess
the damage caused by the storm firsthand and to support families during the emergency.
This collaborative effort made it possible to identify the population’s primary needs and
guide support initiatives. As a result of this process—and following the coordination and
preparation of relief supplies—Drummond delivered over 3,000 roofing sheets, along
with structural profiles, ridge caps, and bags of cement, to help restore the damaged
homes.
“Since the windstorm struck, we have been supporting the families of Casacará, working
in coordination with the Agustín Codazzi Mayor’s Office to gain a firsthand understanding
of the damage and the most urgent needs. Touring the community, visiting homes, and
listening to the families allowed us to identify how we could make a tangible contribution
to their recovery,”
said Alberto Tolosa Manjarrés, Community and Government Relations
Coordinator at Drummond Ltd.
The distribution was based on the census provided by the Agustín Codazzi Mayor’s Office,
with the aim of directing materials to families identified during the emergency response
process.

It is excellent to have Drummond Ltd. helping us restore much ofCasacará’s civil infrastructure following this windstorm. Thank you, Drummond—thegood neighbor,” stated Hernán Baquero Rodríguez, Mayor of Agustín Codazzi.
As part of this ongoing support effort, Drummond Ltd., together with the Agustín Codazzi
Mayor’s Office, presented the rehabilitation project for the physical infrastructure of the
Luis Giraldo Educational Institution—specifically its Main and María Reina campuses,
which were damaged by the windstorm—to the community.
The project involves work on roofing, electrical systems, and ceilings, aiming to restore
the damaged areas and ensure that students, teachers, and other members of the
educational community have safer, more suitable conditions for their activities.
In this way, Drummond continues to join forces with local authorities and communities to contribute to the recovery of Casacará and address priority needs arising from the emergency.
