Drummond Ltd., consistent with its commitment to contribute to the social development and well-being of communities in its area of influence, contributes to Plan 100+, a strategy led by the Mayor of Agustin Codazzi, which articulates efforts between the municipal administration, the community and the private sector to strengthen the rural road network of the territory.
“This project demonstrates what we can achieve when we work articulately with institutions and communities. Our contribution to the 100+ Plan contributes to improving rural mobility and strengthening development opportunities for Agustín Codazzi’s farming families,” said Yilda Tatiana Pineda, Senior Supervisor of Community Relations and Government at Drummond Ltd.

As a contribution to the project, the mining company delivered construction materials, which were essential for the execution of the works. With this contribution, progress was made in the construction of the sections prioritized within the 100+ Plan, ensuring their development according to the needs identified by the municipal administration and the communities.
The inhabitants highlighted the positive impact of these works on their daily lives. “Positive from every point of view for me and the community at large because the situation was quite complicated in the winter. “These works, carried out with the support of Drummond and the public sector, contribute to the entire countryside and to all users of the road,” commented Aye Monrroy Correa, a resident of the Guamal village.
In turn, community leaders stressed the importance of this intervention for the progress of the territory. “This was pure mud and the cars were stuck. “Today, thanks to the mayor of Agustín Codazzi, Drummond, and the Coffee Growers Committee, this concrete slab road was completed for the benefit of the entire community of the Guamal village,” said Nelly Rivera Canova, president of Asojuntas of Agustín Codazzi.
The central purpose of the 100+ Plan is to improve traffic in rural areas, reduce commuting times and promote integration between rural communities and urban areas. The intervention facilitates the transport of agricultural products and inputs by inhabitants with better conditions in safety and efficiency, helping to energize the local economy and strengthen the quality of life of those who depend on these roads for their daily work.
