With the delivery of equipment, Drummond strengthens sports and culture in Chiriguaná, Cesar

*Delivery of equipment to the Recreation and Sports Institute of Chiriguaná, Cesar.


Drummond Ltd. delivered sports equipment and musical instruments in the municipality of Chiriguaná, Cesar, with the objective of fostering protective environments that promote the formation of values, the appropriate use of free time and artistic talent in children and young people.

“With these deliveries we seek to continue contributing to the strengthening of spaces where children and young people can develop their skills, discover talents and build life projects through sports and culture. This initiative reflects our commitment to the integral development of the communities and the generation of opportunities that transform realities,” said Alberto Tolosa Manjarrés, community relations and government coordinator for Drummond Ltd.

As part of its social investment strategy, in the line of Recreation, Sports and Cultural Identity, and in coordination with the municipal administration, the company delivered complete uniforms, bibs, soccer and volleyball balls, whistles and stopwatches to the Institute of Recreation and Sports.

“Thanks to Drummond. For the institutes of culture and sports it is a great relief to receive these sports and musical implements because we have the desire and motivation to make the sport grow,” said Jefferson Cuello, director of the Recreation and Sports Institute of Chiriguaná.

The Institute of Culture and Tourism received clarinets, drums, bass drums, music stands and other instruments to strengthen cultural training processes in the region.

“This is not the first project; this contributes to the process of strengthening the sports and cultural sector. This endowment is of vital importance for the municipality’s music school,” added Alexander Ortega, director of the Institute of Culture and Tourism of Chiriguaná.


With initiatives such as this one, Drummond reaffirms its commitment to mining with a positive impact; promoting spaces for inclusion, training and participation that contribute to community well-being and the fulfillment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
