With the ‘VII Working Day for Senior Management of Contracting Companies 2025’, Drummond Ltd. seeks to promote the culture of industrial safety in all those who make up its operations, while establishing with its various strategic allies the plans to achieve the goal of interdependence in 2026, where the well-being, safety awareness and the lives of its employees continue to be a priority.

The event was attended by more than 45 contracting companies represented by their managers, who analyzed Drummond Ltd.’s safety performance and, in parallel, that of their companies in 2025. Subsequently, the contractors were divided according to their roles into five groups: operations, maintenance, rail, materials and administrative, each guided by an industrial safety representative and the leaders of each Drummond area.

“These types of workshops definitely need to continue, I support them, I applaud them; it is the most effective way to ensure the visible leadership that must be present in these safety processes in all our companies. “It is excellent that Drummond is leading these efforts not only among all its employees but also among all its strategic partners and us as contractors,” said Miriam Villegas Miranda, HSE manager at Relianz.

The exercise allowed the participation of each company, in addition to detailing the improvement actions that each one developed in 2025, as a result of the last meeting in 2024 and the plans or commitments for 2026.

“We finished our day with contracting companies, a space that we have had in recent years, of an annual nature, which allows us to develop plans together with our strategic partners to work on security for next year. In this space we have constructive conversations, allowing us to learn about each other’s experiences at the operational level, at the level of skills and at the level of strengthening our management systems. “They allow us to know what we need to work on and, above all, how we are going to support each other to reach this great milestone of interdependence in 2026,” said Luis Fernando Pérez Jaramillo, director of industrial safety at Drummond Ltd.

It is worth noting that Drummond Ltd. has been working on various actions to achieve the goal of interdependence; evidence of this is the results of the study conducted by the external consulting firm DSS+, which shows how Drummond has been improving its rating on the measurement scale and strengthening its safety culture, the goal of which is interdependence.

“Thanks to all the companies participating in this activity, which guarantees that together we will reach that state of interdependence, not only as a title but for the benefit of the life and well-being of 11,000 people,” said Johnny Guerrero Manjarres, industrial safety manager of Drummond Ltd.

Beyond an achievement, Drummond Ltd. continues to work to ensure that every person involved in its operations understands and embraces the concept of safety as a lifestyle, both inside and outside their workplace.
