As part of its commitment to sustainability and transparency, Drummond Ltd. invites the communities of the department of Cesar to actively participate in the socialization sessions of the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) of its mining projects for the year 2025.
The purpose of these spaces for citizen participation is to strengthen dialogue with the communities, provide transparent information on the environmental management developed in the company’s mining operations, and receive their contributions and concerns regarding the actions implemented.
The socializations will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 m., on the dates and at the locations indicated below:
- October 15: Comfacesar – Agustín Codazzi.
- October 16: Institución Educativa Ángela María Torres Suárez – Becerril.
- October 21: Los Aperos de Miranda Events Hall – Chiriguaná.
- October 22: Comfacesar – La Loma.
- October 23: José Guillermo Castro Educational Institution – La Jagua de Ibirico.
During these conferences, emphasis will be placed on advances related to ecosystem conservation, waste management, water resource management, air quality management, social programs and environmental compensation actions. Likewise, the progress achieved in different strategic areas that support Drummond Ltd.’s commitment to sustainable development will be shared, among which the following stand out: Corporate Social Responsibility, Community Relations, Human Resources and Materials.

Through the proper implementation of the Environmental Management Plan we reaffirm that responsible mining is possible, as long as it is based on technical management, respect for nature and transparent communication. We invite the inhabitants of the municipalities in the area of influence to participate and learn in detail about the environmental management developed in the company’s mining projects,” said Mario García Collante, environmental management supervisor for Drummond Ltd.
With these socializations, Drummond Ltd. reaffirms its interest in maintaining an open and constructive relationship with the communities, strengthening mutual trust and compliance with the commitments established in its environmental licenses.
