Reaffirming its commitment to sustainability, Drummond Ltd. obtained third-party verification of its Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Inventory for the year 2024, certification granted by BVQI Colombia Ltda., an internationally recognized certification body.

This achievement strengthens the company’s corporate carbon neutrality strategy and confirms the reliability of the environmental information that supports its operational and strategic decisions.

Verification under recognized international standards

The verification was carried out in accordance with the requirements of International Standard ISO 14064-3:2019, with a reasonable level of assurance, and concluded that Drummond Ltd.’s emissions inventory complies with ISO 14064-1:2018.

According to the verification body, the reported information is, in all materially relevant aspects, correct and fairly represents the historical data that support the GHG emissions statement.

The verification process covered the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024, and included direct and indirect emissions associated with energy consumption, as well as biogenic emissions and removals.

Pillars of the carbon neutrality strategy

The verification of the 2024 GHG Inventory is part of Drummond Ltd.’s comprehensive carbon neutrality strategy, based on four fundamental pillars:

  • Rigorous emissions measurement
  • Progressive reduction of the carbon footprint
  • Transition to cleaner energy
  • Strengthening ecosystem removal and conservation initiatives

These actions align with international best practices in corporate sustainability and with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially those related to climate action and responsible production.

Drummond Ltd. has defined a roadmap aimed at moving towards carbon neutrality of its operations by 2050, integrating climate change management into its Environmental Management System and its strategic decision-making processes.

“This verification is a key step within our carbon neutrality strategy. This process not only validates the quality and traceability of the information we are generating, but also allows us to have a solid technical basis to identify reduction opportunities, prioritize actions and effectively monitor our environmental performance. “For Drummond, carbon neutrality is a path built on reliable measurements and datadriven decisions,” said Juan José Durán Mejía, environmental management supervisor at Drummond Ltd.

With this progress, the company reaffirms its leadership in sustainability, advancing its environmental management towards an increasingly sustainable operation.
