With the purpose of continuing to strengthen spaces for sports, recreation and healthy coexistence, Drummond Ltd. delivered the recreational sports park in the El Carmen neighborhood, in the township of Casacará, municipality of Agustín Codazzi.
This project, which directly benefits about 500 residents of the community, included the enclosure of the mini-soccer field, the installation of goal arches, a children’s park, biohealthy machines and complementary urban works, consolidating a suitable environment for community gatherings and integral well-being.
“The opening of this park reaffirms our commitment to the well-being of the communities in our area of influence. We are promoting the creation of protective environments that encourage recreation, sports activities and healthy coexistence as pillars to strengthen the social fabric and raise the quality of life of the population,” said Yilda Pineda García, senior supervisor of community and government relations in Cesar.
The project was carried out in agreement with the Municipal Administration and with the support of the community, who actively participated in the oversight and monitoring of the works.
Hernán Baquero Rodríguez, mayor of Agustín Codazzi, highlighted the importance of investing in the community: “The social aspect is what has been giving us results over time to improve the conditions of our young people. If we keep our children involved in sports and culture, we will be strengthening their opportunities and their quality of life in the future.”
Highlighted in the delivery ceremony was the importance of working together to promote initiatives that generate a positive impact on the community, especially on children and young people, promoting healthy lifestyles through sports, recreation and culture.
“Thank you for making this dream come true, which is enjoyed by many children who need it. Today, thanks to Drummond and the mayor’s office of Agustín Codazzi, we have a recreational park where many children go to clear their minds and play sports,” said Luis Dita Julio, a resident of Casacará.
With this delivery, Drummond Ltd. reaffirms its commitment to continue working hand in hand with authorities and communities to create spaces that promote social integration, the use of free time and the construction of safe and healthy environments for all.
