Once again, Drummond Port validates its management system in control and security, by receiving recertification in the BASC Standard (Business Alliance For Secure Commerce) Version 6-2022, which guarantees that it has been audited and approved in compliance with rigorous procedures, endorsed worldwide for agile, legal and secure commerce.

“For Drummond, this certification also represents the validation of its safety culture and its constant commitment which, beyond productivity, focuses on ethics and reliability in its operations,” emphasized Carlos Beltrán Sánchez, physical security director of Puerto Drummond.

This regulation, which promotes international standards and is subject to continuous compliance, also validates that operations are aligned with “C-TPAT minimum security requirements, under standard No. 6.0.1. with scope as a Port-Exporter of coal in Ciénaga, Magdalena, Colombia”, as indicated by the same certification.

The above confirms the transparent work that Drummond has been carrying out in its production and logistics processes for exporting coal to other parts of the world. In this way, the company ensures safe practices in its supply chain, preventing illicit activities such as smuggling and terrorism.

From its operations, Drummond Ltd. will continue working to meet the certifications obtained and promote rigorous compliance and risk management among its work teams, so that it can remain in the global market in a safe and sustainable manner.
