Recognizing the importance of having the appropriate educational infrastructure to strengthen learning processes, Drummond Ltd. delivered a new physics and chemistry laboratory to the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Educational Institution in the town of Loma Colorada (municipality of Bosconia, Cesar).
Alberto Tolosa Manjarres, community and government relations coordinator for Drummond Ltd., highlighted the importance of social investments in educational infrastructure: “More than 290 students from Loma Colorada now have a space to foster their scientific skills, dignify the learning processes and boost local talent.”
The construction of the laboratory complements other investments that the company has made in this educational institution, which include the general adaptation of its infrastructure, the provision of furniture for the administrative area and classrooms, the strengthening of the school cafeteria and the delivery of sports equipment.
“We consider the delivery of this laboratory built by Drummond to be of great importance, because it will significantly improve the academic quality of our students and their skills in the art of science,” said Alexander Lopez Ospino, dean of the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Educational Institution.
The work was coordinated from the initial phase with the Mayor’s Office of Bosconia, in a joint effort that has contributed significantly to improving the quality of education in the area.
“We are grateful for this contribution with the construction of the physics and chemistry laboratory. On behalf of the municipality of Bosconia, God bless you,” said Jorge Patiño Gómez, Mayor of Bosconia.
