Continuing its commitment to productive diversification, Drummond Ltd. began the capitalization phase of 25 business units in the municipalities of Algarrobo, Aracataca, Ciénaga, Fundación and Zona Bananera.
This phase is part of the Ruta D Magdalena project, an entrepreneurship incubator project promoted by Drummond Ltd. and operated by Fundación Universitaria del Área Andina, aimed at strengthening the local business fabric, boosting business units and generating development opportunities in the communities of the area of influence.
The capitalization will allow entrepreneurs to advance in the consolidation of their businesses, strengthen their productive capacities and improve their business sustainability, through access to resources and technical support.
“Thanks to the support they gave me during all this time, today we can say that we are going to start, structure and materialize that dream that began as a very small seed and just like the coffee grew over time,” said Juan Martínez Montenegro, a capitalized entrepreneur.

Ruta D Magdalena focuses on promoting the development of productive units through technical, administrative and commercial support according to their level of maturity. Boosting their strengthening, access to markets, facilitating assets and tools contemplated in their business plan, which in some cases we co-finance.
“At Drummond Ltd. we are committed to business innovation and productive diversification. Here we are investing in dreams, in local talent and in the socio-economic development of the municipalities that are part of this great project,” commented Amalí Blanco Bohórquez, corporate social responsibility project coordinator at Drummond Ltd.
Con estas acciones, Drummond Ltd. reafirma su compromiso con el desarrollo sostenible de las comunidades de su área de influencia, a través de iniciativas que fortalecen la productividad, la autonomía empresarial y el crecimiento de las economías productivas locales.
