As part of its commitment to strengthening the social fabric and sustainable development, Drummond Energy Inc. conducted a series of seminars and workshops aimed at improving institutional and community management capacity in municipalities influenced by its projects.
Through the Corona Rosa Foundation, the company carried out a comprehensive training process that involved 120 people, including officials from the municipal mayor’s offices of Chiriguaná, La Jagua de Ibirico and El Paso, and members of the communities of Los Cerrajones, Mechoacán, La Loma and El Delirio, in the department of Cesar.

The meetings were developed around five strategic lines of training, aimed at institutional, social and community strengthening:
• Digital Transformation and Cyberculture, aimed at public officials.
• Territory, Life and Environment, focused on the institutional role and care of the environment.
• Effective Communication in Public Management, for the improvement of citizen services and teamwork.
• Effective Communication for Life and Community, aimed at communities.
• Overcoming Adversity: Building Community Resilience, focused on emotional and collective strengthening.
“The participants broadened their understanding of the digital ecosystem to strengthen the State-citizen interaction, deepened their knowledge of the territory and the institutional role in environmental protection, and developed essential skills in citizen services, conflict management and collaborative work, assuming a more conscious, proactive and human approach in their daily work,” said Noreida Solano, social supervisor of Drummond Energy.
As a result of the training process with officials from the municipal mayor’s offices, a strengthening of digital and institutional capacities was evident, with the appropriation of key technological tools to improve public management.
“I thank Corona Rosa and Drummond for providing us with this very pleasant space. “I believe that the methodology used is very much in line with the needs we have within the administration, related to these issues we have discussed,” highlighted Omar Gutiérrez, an official from the Mayor’s Office of El Paso, Cesar.
In the communities, the workshops generated a positive impact on coexistence and communication, reflected in the strengthening of skills to express ideas, emotions and disagreements assertively. Through emotional recognition exercises and participatory dynamics, attendees strengthened their ability to manage conflicts without resorting to confrontation or verbal violence, promoting healthier relationships in family and community environments.
Additionally, through the use of community maps, brainstorming, and group dynamics, local problems were identified, their causes understood, everyday conflicts made visible, and collective strategies were built to address them, strengthening the emotional and community response capacity in the face of crisis situations.
In conclusion, the training processes developed made it possible to strengthen the technical, communicative and emotional capacity of public officials; increase cohesion, leadership and community resilience; generate concrete commitments aimed at improving public management, environmental sustainability and social coexistence; and consolidate alliances between institutions and citizens for territorial development.
With initiatives like this, Drummond Energy Inc. reaffirms its commitment to working hand in hand with local communities and authorities, promoting training, participation and co-responsibility processes that contribute to the comprehensive and sustainable development of the territories where it it present.
