With the purpose of continuing to promote a culture of prevention, leadership and timely response to emergencies, Drummond Ltd. held the fourth brigade meeting, a day developed at the Emergency and High Risk Task Training Center, located at the Pribbenow mine.
The meeting brought together 110 brigade members, including Drummond Ltd. staff and representatives of contracting companies, who participated in practical exercises aimed at strengthening skills for handling different types of emergencies in industrial and everyday environments.

“These spaces allow us to strengthen the coordinated work between brigades, share experiences and continue consolidating capabilities to respond efficiently and safely to any eventuality. Preparation and ongoing training are fundamental to our safety culture,” said Nelson Díaz Mora, senior industrial safety supervisor at Drummond Ltd.
During the day, participants rotated through ten training stations focused on topics such as fire control, vehicle rescue, trauma care, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of automated external defibrillator, high-angle rescue, electrical emergency management, environmental spill control, and leadership in emergency care.
The activities included simulations and practical exercises designed to strengthen technical skills, decision-making, and team coordination in high-risk scenarios, promoting knowledge exchange among brigade members from different companies.
“To me these meetings are very important because they allow us to prepare and act in a coordinated manner in the face of any emergency situation,” said Nellys Blanco Quiñones, SST manager of Transportes Montejo.
With this initiative, Drummond Ltd. reaffirms its commitment to industrial safety, risk prevention, and the strengthening of a culture of care and preparedness that involves employees, contractors, and strategic partners.
