The first phase took place at the SENA facilities, at the La Jagua de Ibirico campus, and the second phase took place at Drummond\u00b4s mining operations in Cesar.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cThe apprentices will have an opportunity to provide services to Drummond once they conclude the Dual Formation Program, based on the experience they have acquired during the course,&#8221; commented Humberto Correa, Director of Contracts at Drummond Ltd.<\/p>\n\n<p>The program, which benefits 65 people, has the goal of making it possible for those who successfully conclude the course to work with Drummond&#8217;s contractors in the mining operations.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"486\" height=\"495\" src=\"https:\/\/drummondltd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/image-23.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7901\" srcset=\"https:\/\/drummondltd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/image-23.png 486w, https:\/\/drummondltd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/image-23-295x300.png 295w, https:\/\/drummondltd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/image-23-12x12.png 12w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 486px) 100vw, 486px\" \/><figcaption><em>*Classroom and hands-on stages. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m really grateful, first to God for this opportunity he gave me, and to Drummond, for giving this opportunity to the Department\u2019s young people. They allowed us to get a vocational education that will help me provide for my family and make it possible to get somewhere in life,&#8221; said Dairo Escobar,<\/p>\n\n<p>who received training through the program.<\/p>\n\n<p>The people who have benefited from the program, and are now practicing with the machines, live in the municipalities of Agust\u00edn Codazzi, Becerril, La Jagua de Ibirico, El Paso and Chiriguan\u00e1, Cesar.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cThe experience has been very good for everyone; it has been good for our growth. Now, in the practical phase, we are learning lots about maintaining equipment. We are almost done with the process. I am really grateful to Drummond and to MASA.
