{"id":9027,"date":"2017-05-09T23:51:00","date_gmt":"2017-05-10T04:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/drummondltd.com\/uncategorized\/2017\/05\/09\/family-day-with-drummond-took-over-puerto-drummond\/"},"modified":"2022-08-12T15:53:53","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T20:53:53","slug":"family-day-with-drummond-took-over-puerto-drummond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/drummondltd.com\/en\/family-day-with-drummond-took-over-puerto-drummond\/","title":{"rendered":"Family Day with Drummond took over Puerto Drummond"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/drummondltd.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Edicion-2-030517-Drummond-Te-Informa-Edicion-Especial.jpg\" alt=\"Edicion 2 030517 Drummond Te Informa Edicion Especial\" class=\"wp-image-5442\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"caption-attachment-5440\">22 families from the B shift enjoyed \u201cFamily Day with Drummond\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An updated \u201cFamily Day with Drummond\u201d program was held at the company\u2019s Port facilities, during which 88 people made up of B shift employees and their families attended and enjoyed this opportunity to tour the facilities at Puerto Drummond, full of joy and smiles.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At 8:00 in the morning, buses from Santa Marta, El Rodadero and Ci\u00e9naga arrived at the company\u2019s facilities with 22 families invited to spend an exciting day there.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"caption-attachment-5441\">The families listening to the welcome speech given by the President of the company, Jos\u00e9 Miguel Linares, and the Director of Human Resources at the Port, Adriana Isaza.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Commitment<\/h5>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFamily Day with Drummond\u201d began with breakfast, videos and words of welcome from the company\u2019s President, Jos\u00e9 Miguel Linares, along with the support of the Human Resources team.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The children enjoyed recreation, painting, music and activities related to family integration, and for the parents there was a meeting with the psychologist Karen Castrill\u00f3n during which they recreated how their lives have been transformed since they started working at the company, the growth they have experienced and how they envision in their futures.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most meaningful moments for the families was when they created models showing how they had grown thanks to the company and how they saw themselves as a family in the future.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Places like the Pier, the Fresh Water Pool Lookout, the Train Workshop, the Patio and 775 Trucks Lookout were the main attractions of this tour, where experts in these areas and piece of equipment provided visitors with information on the work and operations that take place at each of these locations.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the tour, while listening to the sounds of the saxophone by the R&amp;R group from Santa Marta and enjoying a delicious lunch at the Casino, the great Family Day with Drummond came to an end. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the visit, the families took home a framed photograph as a memento of their participation in Family Day.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Drummond, these types of activities are extremely important, since they remind the employees how important and vital they are to the company. We also provide an opportunity for them to come together with their loved ones so they can see firsthand the place where their family members work.
