{"id":8979,"date":"2017-04-05T20:30:00","date_gmt":"2017-04-06T01:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/drummondltd.com\/uncategorized\/2017\/04\/05\/train-derailment\/"},"modified":"2022-08-12T15:52:19","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T20:52:19","slug":"train-derailment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/drummondltd.com\/en\/train-derailment\/","title":{"rendered":"Train Derailment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ci\u00e9naga, April 5, 2017<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drummond Ltd. reports that on Tuesday, April 4, around 4 pm, there was a derailment of one of the company\u2019s freight trains on route from its mines in the Cesar department to the company\u2019s port in Ci\u00e9naga (Magdalena).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The incident occurred in the town of Santa Rosa, in the municipality of Fundaci\u00f3n (Magdalena), where 22 gondolas (wagons) were derailed, causing the closure of the track, without causing any damage to water sources, communities in the area or employees of the company.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the derailment, which was immediately reported to Fenoco \u2013the concession in charge of the railroad\u00b4s operation\u2013, and to the relevant authorities, the incident response protocols were activated and personnel from both Fenoco and Drummond Ltd. were transferred to the site. Removal work and the investigation into the cause continues.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drummond Ltd. will continue to provide full support to the authorities to determine the causes of the derailment, and will make the necessary personnel and resources available.
