As part of its commitment to the economic diversification of Magdalena, Drummond Ltd. developed the evaluation of 40 business plans for the Ruta D project, a space aimed at evaluating the technical, productive, and commercial potential of local ventures, and advancing in their business consolidation process.<\/p>\n\n

The entrepreneurs, from the municipalities of Algarrobo, Fundaci\u00f3n, Aracataca, Zona Bananera and Ci\u00e9naga, were evaluated through a structured support process under the fire pitch methodology (short and high impact presentation). This dynamic facilitated the identification of the productive units with the greatest potential to enter the business strengthening phase of the program. <\/p>\n\n

As an integral part of this stage, the entrepreneurs participated in an intensive training space aimed at strengthening their administrative and financial capacities: \u201cThe ABCs of Finance for Entrepreneurs.\u201d The session provided practical tools for the financial management of businesses, addressing topics such as cost structure, pricing, cash flow, profitability, decision making and business sustainability. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

\u201cWe are grateful to Drummond for providing us with this space to share our business plans and also the strengthening of our entire production area. \u201cWe used to sell our coffee and had the entire farm process mechanized and standardized, but thanks to Drummond today we have direction in terms of marketing and branding for our brand,\u201d highlighted Juan Diego Mart\u00ednez Montenegro, a participating entrepreneur.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The Ruta D project aims to implement a comprehensive business incubation model for 250 entrepreneurs in the Drummond Ltd. area of influence, through the identification, characterization, and categorization by levels of business maturity.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cMy business is called Luxel Creative Agency, a company that has been in Ci\u00e9naga, Magdalena, for more than 10 years in the advertising sector. “It has previously benefited from an economic boost from the Drummond company, which has strengthened the production and productivity aspect for the constant improvement of our products and services,” stated Maykol Pava Bola\u00f1o, a participating entrepreneur.<\/p>\n\n

The scope of the project includes training processes, mentoring, specialized support, access to financing, commercial articulation, and permanent monitoring, recognizing that entrepreneurial success depends not only on capital, but also on strengthening management capacities and effective linkage to markets. Within this framework, 40 business plans were formulated, of which 25 will be subject to capitalization. <\/p>\n\n

With this initiative, Drummond Ltd. seeks to reduce informality, promote job creation and consolidate businesses, allowing the most advanced ventures to project themselves towards scaling processes, productive diversification and opening to new markets.<\/p>\n\n
