With the goal of spreading Christmas cheer, Drummond Ltd. employees came together to take gifts to vulnerable communities in the company’s area of influence in Cesar and Magdalena.
Through the in-house campaign, ‘Give a gift, Bring Joy to a Heart, and Get a Smile in Return,’ which has been going on now for more than 16 years, employees are invited to make voluntary donations for the purchase of gifts. This year, 636 children from Arenas Blancas in Chiriguana, La Guajirita in Becerril, and Vegoña in the district of Casacara were blessed by the gifts delivered in Cesar.
The towns of Blancas in the municipality of Chiriguaná, La Guajirita in the municipality of Becerril, and Vegoña in the district of Casacará, benefited from the deliveries in Cesar.
“I’m grateful to Drummond’s employees for all these gifts that they’ve brought to the town of Casacara. This assistance affects more than 200 children in children’s homes. It brings us great joy, because they are very happy and full of smiles,” said Jean Carlos Cobo, Inspector in Casacara, Cesar.
The deliveries in Cesar were organized by Drummond’s Community Relations office with the participation of community leaders and authorities.
“We have brought happiness to the children again this Christmas. Seeing a child’s smile when they receive their gift is just magical,” said Yilda Tatiana Pineda, Senior Community Relations Supervisor at Drummond Ltd.
The event that was organized to hand out the gifts was an occasion full of love and joy for the children, said Lina Lopez, mother of one of the children who received a gift in Casacara, Cesar. “I’m so thankful to Drummond and its employees. I’m very happy because they filled all our children with happiness and joy, and their faces are glowing with so many smiles.”
Christmas also came to Magdalena
Port employees showed up for a day full of activities and games with different characters to celebrate the advent of Christmas with 180 children.
The company joins the communities in thanking the employees who decided to get involved in this experience and work together to ‘Give a Gift, Bring Joy to a Heart, and get a Smile in Return.’
