In December of 2016, the Hydrocarbons and Mining Exploration Division of Drummond gave 645 toys as part of the Christmas presents for children from one to 11 years-old, who are in the neighboring communities of the Caporo Development Area project.
The following communities benefitted with this social undertaking: La Aurora, Ojo de Agua, Los Cerrajones (jurisdiction of the municipality of Chiriguaná) and the district of Mechoacán (jurisdiction of the municipality of La Jagua de Ibirico).
“I am very grateful with the Hydrocarbons Division of Drummond Ltd. for always contributing and making the boys and girls from this community smile”, stated Mr. Camilo Gómez, President of the Community Action Board from the township of La Aurora.
Ms. María Esther Meneses, Community Leader of Los Cerrajones said “on behalf of the community, we want to thank the Hydrocarbons Division of the company for their spirit of service towards our residents.”
Mr. Roberto Imbrecht, Community Leader of the Mechoacán district, said, “I am grateful to the Hydrocabons Division of Drummond Ltd. for its commitment and social responsibility towards the communities of influence of their projects. It must be highlighted that since September 2016, the area of interest of the Hydrocarbons Division and Mining Exploration of Drummond Ltd. already has the license for the methane gas operation associated with the coal seams in the Caporo North Development Area of influence of the municipalities of La Jagua de Ibirico and Chiriguaná.
With these activities the employees from the Hydrocarbons and Mining Exploration Divisions of Drummond were able to give many children from their area of influence gifts and affection during the Christmas holiday season.
