Reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development and education in its area of influence, Drummond Ltd. is moving forward with the socialization of three new educational infrastructure projects in the municipalities of El Paso, Chiriguaná and El Copey, in the department of Cesar.
These initiatives, which will benefit students of different educational levels, will be developed at the Benito Ramos Trespalacios Educational Institution in El Paso; the Manuel Germán Cuello Educational Institution in Chiriguaná; and the Marco Fidel Sierra Piña Higher Education Center in El Copey.
“We returned to this place with great joy to reiterate that social commitment to our area of influence continues, because, for the company, education has always been and will be a priority,” said Alberto Tolosa Manjarrés, coordinator of Community Relations and Government at Drummond Ltd.

With the execution of these projects, the company seeks to generate safe and adequate spaces to strengthen educational quality, especially in rural areas of Cesar, where its presence has been constant through programs that positively impact communities.

During the socialization meetings, local leaders and representatives of the education sector stressed the importance of these initiatives. Elena Patricia Mondragón, social manager of the municipality of Chiriguaná, said, “I thank Drummond for the great work it is doing and for its commitment. This great company has been the captain of all these projects that have so much impact in our young people.”

On the other hand, Guido Alfonso Borrero Sarmiento, student advocate of the Benito Ramos Trespalacios Educational Institution, highlighted: “Drummond has been a fundamental pillar for education in the municipality of El Paso.”
