As part of its commitment to productive diversification and economic development, Drummond Ltd. held a training session for teachers and administrators of educational institutions through the Youth Entrepreneurship School (EJE) in La Jagua de Ibirico, Cesar.
The event focused on inclusion and strengthening entrepreneurship skills within the framework of the Institutional Educational Project (PEI). Its objective is to provide tools that allow teachers to foster a culture of innovation in their students.
“This is a very productive day for all educational institutions, where, through the Youth Entrepreneurship School, Drummond Ltd. remains committed to generating opportunities for productive diversification in our region,” said Ever Carrillo Navarro, corporate social responsibility coordinator at Drummond Ltd.
With this training, more than 60 young people between the ages of 15 and 28 will continue to receive intensive training in innovation and entrepreneurship. In addition, they will have access to a virtual platform with specialized courses and will be able to work on developing business plans with the guidance of expert instructors, which will allow them to acquire key skills for their professional and business future.
“Our experience with the Youth Entrepreneurship School has been very enriching, as it has allowed us to recognize our strengths and opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship. Thanks to this process, our young people can visualize a clear path toward their future, avoiding uncertainty after completing their school education and motivating them to develop their own projects that allow them to move forward with autonomy and determination,” said Anix Contreras Buelvas, principal of the Hilda Aguilar Meneses Educational Institution in the municipality of La Jagua de Ibirico, Cesar.
This training program is part of the entrepreneurship and innovation capacity-building model that Drummond Ltd. is developing in the region, and seeks to promote actions that contribute to the development of entrepreneurial-minded young people.
