As part of its commitment to education in Cesar, Drummond Ltd., together with the Chiriguaná Mayor’s Office, announced the start of three projects aimed at improving the municipality’s educational infrastructure.
The Juan Mejía Gómez, Rafael Argote Vega, and Luis Felipe Centeno educational institutions (main campuses) will benefit from the interventions aimed at creating safe, appropriate, and stimulating learning spaces, promoting the comprehensive development of students.

“We know that adequate infrastructure is key to students’ academic and personal development. With these types of initiatives, in partnership with local authorities, we seek to contribute to the creation of better learning environments,” said Alberto Tolosa, community and government relations coordinator at Drummond Ltd.
For the execution of these projects, which will benefit more than 3,800 students, Drummond Ltd. will provide construction materials, while the Chiriguaná Municipality will provide labor and supervision, thus consolidating a joint effort to strengthen education in the area.
“We thank Drummond Ltd. for this investment, which will significantly contribute to improving the conditions of our classrooms, allowing our students to receive an education in an environment more suitable for their development,” said Jamil Suárez, principal of the Juan Mejía Gómez. IE.
On the other hand, Faudith Montesino, dean of the Rafael Argote Vega I.E., highlighted the importance of this support: “This support will not only improve infrastructure but also create a more efficient educational process and a conducive learning environment, which will directly impact the quality of the education we offer.”
With these projects, Drummond Ltd. contributes to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of Quality Education by promoting optimal environments for the academic training and development of children and young people, and generating a positive impact on the quality of life of students and teachers in the region.
