In order to optimize the educational, health, safety and well-being conditions for the little ones, Drummond Ltd., together with the Municipal Administration, delivered the infrastructure and equipment improvement projects in the Children Development Centers (CDI) of the townships of Casacará and Llerasca, in the municipality of Agustín Codazzi, Cesar.
This initiative benefits more than 180 children, generating an adequate environment that favors their integral development, providing a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment.
“The Children Development Centers were in suboptimal conditions, with notorious difficulties in the sanitary batteries and facilities. In addition, a park was needed for the leisure and recreation of our children. Today, I am proud of what we are receiving this, not only in terms of infrastructure, but also in terms of furniture. We thank Drummond and we are aware of the responsibility we have of taking care of everything they have given us,” said Licet Nieve, coordinator of the ICBF Zonal Center in Agustín Codazzi.
In collaboration with the municipal administration and the community, various improvements were carried out to create an appropriate environment that favors the integral development of children in the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical fields. These interventions were designed to ensure optimal conditions in the centers, allowing children to enjoy a place where they can fully develop.
“We deliver these CDIs, which represent the beginning of training in educational quality, because children are the foundation. In this space, the professionals of the future are beginning to be trained, and for this we need quality infrastructure,” said María José Caballero, coordinator of corporate social responsibility at Drummond Ltd.

The project also included the provision of furniture, including desks, tables, chairs, and other essential elements to improve the quality of the school environment. Thanks to these improvements, the children of Casacará and Llerasca now have greater resources and conditions to enhance their learning and comprehensive development.
