Reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development and improving the quality of life in its area of influence, Drummond Ltd. delivered 26 eco-efficient stoves to families in 8 villages of the La Guajirita district in the municipality of Becerril, Cesar.
This project aims to promote the use of efficient energy alternatives in the cooking methods used by rural families, in line with the social investment programs included in the Municipal Development Plans, generating positive impacts on communities and the environment.
“I am very grateful to Drummond for helping us improve our lives. Now, thanks to this stove, cooking is much easier. We have more stoves and less smoke,” said Mayra Gutiérrez Orozco, a beneficiary of the project.
Expected impacts
· Reduction of pollutant emissions: decrease in greenhouse gases and harmful particulate matter.
· Sustainable use of resources: promoting the efficient consumption of firewood as fuel for cooking.
· Improvement of living conditions: healthier, more comfortable, and safer family environments.
As an integral part of the project, training sessions were held to raise awareness among beneficiary families about the environmental and social impact of traditional technologies and the importance of adopting sustainable practices through the proper use of eco-efficient stoves.

We not only improve the living conditions of these families, but we also contribute to environmental sustainability and the adoption of responsible technologies that positively impact their quality of life,” highlighted Ever Carrillo Navarro, project coordinator for Drummond Ltd.
