As part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, and ratifying its commitment to contribute to the productive diversification of the communities in its area of influence, Drummond Ltd. provided training in business planning, which is a part of the fifth cohort of the Business Incubator of the mining corridor in Cesar.

“Initially these ventures were characterized according to the identification of needs and sustainability vision. After the construction of the business plans, we deliver these incentives that contribute significantly to the growth of their business units,” explained Ever Carrillo Navarro, coordinator of corporate social responsibility projects at Drummond Ltd.

The selection process for the projects was carried out through an evaluation committee led by the vice presidencies of sustainability, community relations and governance of Drummond Ltd., which took place at the facilities of the Fundaci贸n Universitaria del 脕rea Andina, the project operator.

“I am grateful to Drummond, because with their support, my company will be able to continue growing, and in the future we will be able to generate new jobs for my community,” said Kathya Lizeth Quintero, owner of the Manitas M谩gicas business in the municipality of Agust铆n Codazzi, Cesar.

With the Entrepreneurship Incubator project, implemented through the Business Incubation and Development Model (MIDE), Drummond Ltd. has promoted 397 business units in its area of influence in Cesar and Magdalena, with an investment of more than 7 billion pesos, providing comprehensive support to entrepreneurs, including training, consulting and co-financing of the business plan.

In this way, Drummond Ltd. contributes to the strengthening of local capabilities in activities other than mining and contributes to the productive diversification of the territory.
