Drummond Ltd. strengthens care for the elderly with the delivery of the Centro de Vida in Boquerón

In compliance with the Socioeconomic Management Plan (PMS), and reaffirming its commitment to the wellbeing of the communities in its area of influence, Drummond Ltd. delivered the work of adapting, remodeling and equipping the Centro de Vida in the village of Boquerón, in La Jagua de Ibirico, Cesar. This project, developed through the Minuto de Dios as operator, seeks to strengthen the care and services offered to the elderly in the town center.

This initiative is part of the ‘Governance for Development’ pillar of Drummond Ltd.’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, benefiting more than 100 senior citizens.

“Drummond Ltd. seeks to contribute to the physical, psychological and social well-being of the community, for which it has provided a dignified and quality space that integrates the territory’s offer aimed at older adults. We are pleased to provide this scenario that will allow different actors to provide nutritional, recreational and general care for the elderly in the town center in optimal conditions,” said Wisam Faraj Obregón, senior resettlement supervisor for Drummond Ltd.

“We are very happy. The construction of the life center is considered completed. I am grateful to Drummond because it has been contributing to the development of the communities and this project will benefit our senior citizens,” said Marisol Quintero Miranda, representative to the Socioeconomic Management Plan of the Boquerón district.

Drummond will continue to work with different partners to facilitate the sustainability of projects that benefit the elderly population close to their communities.
