on June 27.

After the Colombian Safety Council -CCS- evaluated and audited the 132 companies nominated in the category ‘Innovative Safety and Health Practices at Work’, Drummond Ltd. was awarded by ARL Seguros Bolívar with the Gold Award during the ceremony of the ‘Inspiring Tranquility Awards’. The company was recognized for its strategy of ‘Comprehensive chemical risk management, as a valuable tool for occupational hygiene’.

“We are proud of this recognition. It is an honor for Drummond to know that all the efforts made daily to innovate, identify, evaluate risks to generate controls, and promote responsible practices that improve working conditions give positive results, resulting in safe and healthy work environments for our employees and contractors”, said Dr. José Guerra Añez, occupational health manager at Drummond Ltd. Colombia.

Within its Comprehensive Chemical Risk Management Program (PGIRQ), Drummond’s Occupational Hygiene division highlighted the development of the “Paracelsus” software, a tool that has been valuable for providing advance information about diseases and/or accidents that could be caused due to exposure to chemical agents, which can be intervened or controlled before they begin to manifest themselves in the work environment.

As complemented by Hugo Romero Figueroa, industrial hygiene supervisor at Drummond Ltd.: “The strength of our program is not only in the technical information. It is in the application of soft skills that has allowed us to keep our employees informed, but also trained in the identification of dangers, risks, and different circumstances of exposure. We have managed to implement the globally harmonized system, standardize areas, increase our preventive culture, and interdependence. “We have implemented and developed software with artificial intelligence for the analysis of our information.”

With this recognition, Drummond thanks the work of all Occupational Health staff and all its employees for overseeing internally and at all times, health and safety in work environments.
