Drummond Ltd. delivered the 18 de Febrero Kindergarten in Bosconia, Cesar.

Reaffirming its social commitment to generate optimal and safe school environments in the communities in its area of influence, Drummond Ltd., together with the Mayor’s Office of Bosconia, delivered the construction of the 18 de Febrero Kindergarten, located in the main building of the Carlos Restrepo Araujo Educational Institution.

“At Drummond we continue to strengthen institutional and community capacity in the education sector. On this occasion, we enabled the delivery of the 18 de Febrero Kindergarten, with an extensive infrastructure that will allow children to have adequate spaces to receive quality education,” said Yilda Pineda, senior supervisor of community and government relations.

During the presentation of the kindergarten, officials from the Bosconia Municipal Mayor’s Office, teachers, parents, and community leaders were present and expressed their gratitude to Drummond for contributing to the education of the new generations of their municipality.

“I want to thank God and Drummond for this project they are giving us. This mining company has always contributed to the development of Bosconia. Now our children will have the opportunity to receive their classes in modern and comfortable facilities. Thank you very much,” commented Jorge Pati帽o G贸mez, mayor of the municipality of Bosconia, Cesar.

The project included the construction of three classrooms, a multi-purpose room, a kitchen-dining room, sanitary facilities and furniture, with an investment of more than 730 million pesos.

“On behalf of the parents, we thank Drummond for this construction that they have given us, so that the children can grow and learn,” said Mar铆a Jos茅 Mosquera Pedroza, mother of the beneficiary family.

In this way, Drummond Ltd. continues to demonstrate with actions its commitment to education, contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in this case, Quality Education, contributing to the improvement of educational spaces in public institutions in the region.
