Drummond Ltd. makes significant contributions to the healthcare sector in the communities in its area of influence. Recently, working with the Municipal Mayor of Chiriguana and the San Andres Regional Hospital, it strengthened the dentistry office and the delivery room at the Mother and Child Healthcare Center in the district of Rincon Hondo, in Cesar.
“This delivery was made under the ‘Governance for Development’ pillar of our corporate social responsibility strategy, as part of our investment focus on ‘Institutional and Community Strengthening’ in the healthcare sector, to help improve the efficiency of the services provided,” commented Yilda Tatiana Pineda, Senior Supervisor of Community Relations for Drummond Ltd.
The donation included a complete dental unit, a heat lamp, a wheelchair, a crash cart, a gynecological stretcher, and instruments for the delivery team.
“We are very pleased and satisfied with the equipment Drummond has delivered today to Rincon Hondo and the entire community. Thank you very much for meeting this dire need, since our equipment was obsolete. It’s great that these ones come with the latest technology. Once again, Drummond has acted as our sponsor in the area of healthcare,” stated in gratitude Saul Parra, administrative and financial coordinator at the San Andres Regional Hospital in Chiriguana.
This is the second of two deliveries made by Drummond to the Mother and Child Healthcare Center in Rincon Hondo. The first delivery of medical instruments and furnishings in the year 2021 included desks, tables for equipment, chairs, blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, a defibrillator, a vital signs monitor, and an electrocardiograph machine, along with other items.
“We are very grateful to Drummond for its support in strengthening the Mother and Child Healthcare Center in Rincon Hondo. It will enable us to continue to work on behalf of the health of the people who live here, giving them good quality, personalized service,” said Yalidis Paba, Secretary of Health in the municipality of Chiriguana.
The community of Rincon Hondo attended the ceremony to deliver the equipment, and thanked Drummond for its social commitment.

It enriches our lives to have equipment with new technology that, just in time, today, with the needs we are experiencing in our healthcare centers, we can see a reflection of progress provided by the company Drummond,” declared Denio Armenta, president of the Community Action Board in Rincon Hondo.
As of 2021, Drummond has equipped, built, or rebuilt 19 health posts, benefitting more than 108,000 people, and it has also been involved in building and remodeling 12 hospitals and 4 mother and child healthcare centers.
