Drummond Ltd. deeply regrets the death of Efraín Imbreth Tejada, an employee of the Montejo Transport Company, whose death occurred as a result of a work-related accident that occurred yesterday, September 5 at 1:20 P.M. at the Pribbenow Mine facilities.
From the moment the event occurred, the protocols for emergency care were activated and the Company’s medical team practiced pre-hospital care. Due to his critical condition he was transferred by ambulance to the San Andres de Chiriguaná Hospital where he was attended by an intensive care specialist and despite the doctors’ efforts he died two hours later.
We will be coordinating with Transportes Montejo and the pertinent authorities the investigations to clarify what caused accident and prevent this type of event from occurring again.
