Drummond Ltd. regrets to inform that two employees who were carrying maintenance work at a hopper feeder at our Port Drummond facilities in Ciénaga (Magdalena), were injured.
The company´s emergency protocols were immediately activated, our safety and medical personnel carried out first aid assistance, and the men were evacuated in two ambulances. Regrettably, due to the extent of the injuries, one of them, Deiner Noguera, died at the hospital.
The families were notified about the accident, and representatives of Drummond´s Human Resources department are the hospital to offer any assistance that may be needed.
As per the company´s protocols, we have begun the investigation to determine the root cause of what happened, and carry out actions to prevent this type of incident from happening again.
Drummond deeply regrets this incident and expresses its most heartfelt condolences to Deiner Noguera´s family.
