Drummond Ltd. strongly rejects the violent events that occurred on September 4 in the Altagracia neighborhood of Valledupar, in which two union leaders who are Drummond Ltd. workers were the victims of an attack with firearms against one of their vehicles. Thankfully they were not injured in any way.
Drummond condemns what happened and asks the appropriate authorities to investigate thoroughly and find those responsible for this deplorable attack.
The company rejects any violent act, regardless of its origin, urges everyone to stop the violence in the region and reiterates its support for the peaceful resolution of any conflict.
Drummond also reiterates its willingness to collaborate with authorities and other relevant institutions to protect the lives and human rights of our workers, our allies, our contractors, and members of the communities / interest groups in our area of influence.
