Drummond Ltd. is one of the Colombian mining companies that adhered to the call of the National Mining Agency to participate in “Colombia Beyond El Dorado”, a space within the pavilion that the country will have at Expo Dubai, dedicated exclusively to positioning the sector as a global investment destination.
From October 31 to November 3, Colombian companies will have the opportunity to generate business opportunities and establish commercial connections with investors from the region within the framework of this event, which will have a large commercial and academic agenda for four business days.
“Faced with this interesting market, through audio-visual material Drummond will present its strategy to carry out socially responsible, environmentally sustainable and economically viable mining activities,” said José Miguel Linares, president of Drummond Ltd.
This experience adds to the efforts that Drummond has been making to expand its international market. It´s worth remembering that this year the company began a new Colombian coal export route to Dubai and on April 9 the Fortune ship set sail from Puerto Drummond, in Ciénaga, Magdalena, loaded with 164,257 tons of premium quality coal, sold to JERA for transport to the United Arab Emirates, traveling 8,900 nautical miles.
