For the second consecutive year, Drummond Ltd. has topped the General Mining Compass Ranking, positioning itself as the mining company with the best reputation among executives, government officials, workers in the sector, as well as with the general public in both mining and non-mining municipalities. The results of the 2026 survey were
presented at the National Mining Congress, organized by the Colombian Mining Association (ACM) in Cartagena.
Furthermore, the company achieved first place in four of the five evaluated groups: mining company executives, government officials, sector workers, and the general public in non-mining municipalities.
“This recognition fills us with pride and motivates us to continue working hand in hand with the communities and the region to contribute to Colombia’s progress by practicing responsible mining,” said José Miguel Linares, President of Drummond Ltd.

For the company, maintaining first place for the second consecutive year represents recognition of the work of its employees and a management style based on operational excellence, ongoing communication and engagement with communities and authorities, social and environmental responsibility, and the creation of opportunities in its areas of influence.

The results were released amidst a broader shift in
perceptions regarding the contribution of mining
activity. The Mining Compass 2026 report showed
progress in areas related to environmental
commitment, respect for human rights, community
development, and dialogue with local territories.
Furthermore, 86% of the national public believes that mining can coexist with other economic activities such as tourism and agriculture.
During the opening of the Congress, the Minister of Mines and Energy, María Nohemí Arboleda, highlighted the importance of mining activity in addressing the country’s energy challenges. “Without mining, there is no transition,” she stated, adding that
“Colombia has a historic opportunity to transform its mineral wealth into sustainable development, formal employment, and confidence for its regions.”

For Drummond Ltd., reputation is built on actions and relationships of trust that strengthen over time. Therefore, this recognition represents more than just an achievement. It is a commitment to continue practicing responsible and sustainable mining, generating opportunities, and contributing to the development of Colombia and its regions.
