Within the framework of its Social Investment Plan (PIS), Drummond Ltd., in partnership with the Colombia International Corporation (CCI), continues to strengthen the productive development of communities in its area of influence through a strategy that fosters the growth of rural organizations, mostly led by women, and promotes the generation of sustainable income.
This initiative is part of the national program “500,000 Women Agribusiness Owners CCI,” which began in 2023 and continues to deliver results in the municipalities of El Paso, Chiriguaná, and La Jagua de Ibirico. This year, the project will support 27 productive organizations, 11 of which have already been strengthening their capacities since 2025, moving toward a new phase focused on sustainability and business growth.
As part of this phase, the most developed organizations will receive productive assets that will strengthen their processes and their capacity to generate income. Likewise, those associations that began the program in earlier stages will advance in their formalization as Non-Profit Entities (NPOs), strengthening their organizational structure and expanding their growth opportunities.
“Strengthening the productive capacities of the communities in our area of influence is part of our commitment, as outlined in our Corporate Social Responsibility policy, to the productive diversification of the region. This alliance with the CCI allows us to continue supporting these organizations so they can consolidate sustainable ventures that contribute to the well-being of their families and the economic development of the region,” stated Ever Carrillo Navarro, coordinator of social and environmental projects at Drummond Ltd.

For her part, Adriana Senior, CEO of the Colombia International Corporation (CCI), emphasized that, “More than just providing temporary support, we are strengthening the capacities of these organizations so they can grow, consolidate, and become sustainable and competitive businesses. Seeing how this alliance with Drummond Ltd. continues to evolve and generate results fills us with pride.”
The strategy includes three lines of action: capitalizing established organizations by providing productive assets; strengthening the business capacity of organizations that need to close organizational and productive gaps; and engaging new community groups, including associations of caregivers for people with disabilities, corozo juice producers, environmental nurseries, and artisanal businesses.
With this initiative, Drummond Ltd. reaffirms its commitment to the sustainable development of the communities in its area of influence, promoting projects that strengthen rural entrepreneurship, foster inclusion, and contribute to the economic diversification of the Cesar department.
