Drummond Ltd. and the El Paso Mayor’s Office inaugurated the Senior Citizens’ Community Center in Cuatro Vientos

Thanks to the joint efforts of Drummond Ltd. and the El Paso Mayor’s Office, the village of Cuatro Vientos now has a new Senior Citizens’ Center, a facility that promotes wellbeing, social inclusion, and comprehensive care for nearly 100 older adults in this community.
The project was carried out through a co-financing model between the El Paso Mayor’s Office and Drummond Ltd. and includes a facility of approximately 416 square meters, equipped with a kitchen, dining room, pantry, restroom facilities, a nursing area, an administrative office, air conditioning systems, furniture, and other necessary amenities to provide comprehensive care for older adults.
For Yilda Pineda García, senior supervisor of community and government relations at Drummond Ltd., this project exemplifies the value of partnerships that foster sustainable development in local communities: “At Drummond, we believe that community development is built through partnerships that generate well-being and opportunities. The opening of this Senior Center reflects our commitment to the older adults of Cuatro Vientos, providing them with a dignified, safe, and well-equipped space to promote their well-being, social integration, and quality of life.”
Jesús Ortiz Cervantes, mayor of El Paso, highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts: “As I have always said, Drummond is our best neighbor, our best ally, with whom— thank God—we have created a strong synergy and a great team. We have demonstrated that by joining forces between the public and private sectors, we can make these major investments.”
The beneficiaries also emphasized the importance of having a place designed for their well-being, where they can participate in recreational, social, and integration activities under dignified and safe conditions.
“I think this project by Drummond, in partnership with the mayor’s office, is wonderful. Now it’s up to us, the seniors, to take care of it, because this belongs to us—it’s a gift they don’t give to just anyone,” said William Mejía Gutiérrez, a senior from the village of Cuatro Vientos, Cesar.
With this project, Drummond Ltd. and the El Paso Mayor’s Office reaffirm their commitment to the municipality’s social development, strengthening community infrastructure and creating spaces that help improve the quality of life for older adults and their families.
