As part of the actions aimed at strengthening community and citizen participation in its area of influence, Drummond Ltd. delivered the construction and equipment for the Asojuntas hall, in the municipality of El Paso, Cesar.
Developed in conjunction with the municipal administration and Asojuntas, this infrastructure has an area of 238 square meters and a capacity for 150 people, consolidating a place intended for community meetings, social integration and the development of collective activities for the benefit of the territory.
The project also included the delivery of furniture and elements necessary for its operation, allowing the community to have a suitable environment for meetings, training sessions and spaces for dialogue.
“The donation of this hall by Drummond Ltd. to the municipality of El Paso represents an important contribution to institutional and community strengthening, promoting training, dialogue and social management processes that contribute to well-being and progress of the municipality,” said Yilda Tatiana Pineda, senior supervisor of community and government relations at Drummond Ltd.
On their behalf, community leaders highlighted the value of this new space to continue promoting unity, citizen participation, and collaborative work among communities.
“We are thankful to Drummond, a great neighbor who has always been willing to support and accompany our community. Today, the dream of our Community Action Board to have a dignified place where we can meet, work together, and continue building well-being for all has come true,” said Jesús Ortiz Cervantes, mayor of El Paso.
