La Loma, April 10, 2026

With the aim of strengthening and promoting the skills, talents and entrepreneurial capabilities of young people in the department of Cesar, Drummond Ltd. held the Entrepreneurship Fairs simultaneously in La Loma, Chiriguaná and La Jagua de Ibirico, with the participation of school-aged and non-school-aged youth who were part of the training process of the project.
This initiative is part of Drummond Ltd.’s Youth Entrepreneurship School project, whose scope contributes to strengthening the entrepreneurial skills of 120 young people in the region. It also promotes innovation and the development of business ideas with a positive impact on its communities. As part of the sustainability component, the program also involves teachers and educational institutions, promoting the integration of entrepreneurship into the educational processes within the classroom.

“At Drummond Ltd. we believe in the potential of young people and their ability to transform their communities. With this initiative, we continue to promote opportunities that strengthen their skills and contribute to the development of Cesar,” commented Ever Carrillo Navarro, coordinator of social and environmental projects of Drummond Ltd.’s corporate social responsibility
The fairs became established as a meeting place for the community, institutions and young entrepreneurs, where participants showcased their productive initiatives before juries who evaluated aspects such as innovation, viability and presentation.

In each municipality, three outstanding initiatives were awarded. The first-place winner received as an incentive participation in an innovation immersion program in the city of Bogotá, which includes academic training, specialized visits and comprehensive support. Second and third place winners were also recognized with technological tools to strengthen their projects.
“The Youth Entrepreneurship School has helped me drive my business idea and thanks to that we are here today presenting all our delicacies,” said Ivonne Machado Infante, a participant in the project.
During the events, the support of the municipal governments was highlighted, as well as the commitment of the families and communities, who were key players in the development of this initiative.
With these types of spaces, Drummond Ltd. reaffirms its commitment to social development, education and the generation of opportunities for young people in the Cesar department.
