As part of its Social Investment Plan, and with the purpose of strengthening the quality of education in the region, Drummond Ltd. announces the launch of the Specialization Scholarship Project for high school teachers in public educational institutions. It initially operate as a pilot project in the municipalities of Agustín Codazzi, Becerril, Chiriguaná, El Paso and La Jagua de Ibirico.
This program will offer up to five (5) full scholarships covering 100% of the tuition fees-, to study the Specialization in Pedagogy and Teaching at the Fundación Universitaria del Área Andina, Valledupar, in virtual mode and with a duration of two semesters.
Teachers who wish to apply for the scholarship must meet the following requirements: To be a regular teacher in a public educational institution in one of the prioritized municipalities, to have been born in one of them or to have been a teacher in the municipality for at least five years.
In addition to the aforementioned requirements, applicants must send the following documentation through the mail atencionalusuario@drummondltd.com from this date until August 29, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.:
- Updated resume.
- Copy of citizenship card.
- Proof of affiliation: Certification issued by the Departmental Secretary of Education of the Department of Cesar that certifies that the teacher is employed in a public educational institution of the corresponding municipality.
- Certificate of evaluation as a teacher for the last year.
- Support of residence or territorial permanence: Civil registry of birth in one of the prioritized municipalities or certification of at least five (5) years of continuous employment as a teacher in an educational institution in the municipality.
- Personal motivation letter: The teacher explains his/her interest in pursuing a specialization, the expected contributions to his/her professional development and his/her commitment to improving the quality of education in his/her institution.
- Institutional impact proposal: Brief document in which the teacher describes an initiative, project or strategy that could be implemented in his/her institution based on the lessons learned in the specialization. (Annex 1).
- Declaration of commitment of permanence: Letter signed by the teacher in which he/she declares his/her willingness to remain at least three (3) years in his/her educational institution once the specialization is completed, in accordance with the Permanency Agreement. (Annex 2).
Additionally, submit progress reports and implement in coordination with their educational institution a project of institutional impact or educational initiative in which they apply the knowledge acquired, and maintain a grade point average higher than 4.0.
