As part of its commitment to the social and cultural development of the communities in its area of influence, Drummond Ltd. continues to strengthen local capacities through its MOSAICO project, an initiative that promotes cultural, creative and tourism industries in the municipalities of Chiriguaná, La Jagua de Ibirico and El Paso, Cesar.

Operated by the Bartolomé de las Casas Institute Foundation (INUBAC), MOSAICO benefits 9 organizations in this sector of the economy and seeks to transform culture into an engine of sustainable development, contributing to the strengthening of the social and economic fabric of the department.

Culture that transforms and generates opportunities

MOSAICO was born from the conviction that culture is more than an expression of identity: it is an opportunity to generate employment, welfare and economic growth. Therefore, the program encourages the creation and consolidation of innovative, sustainable cultural projects with a high social impact.

This program promotes a comprehensive approach based on three pillars:

Training: strategic skills development and project
management training.

Capitalization: provision of resources and strengthening of competencies for the sustainability of the initiatives.

Organizational strengthening: digital transformation and innovation in business models to adapt to the challenges of the sector.

“Investing in culture is investing in the development of the territory. With MOSAICO, we seek to strengthen not only the projects, but also the organizations and their teams, generating a comprehensive and sustainable impact on the community,” said Ever Carrillo Navarro, coordinator of corporate social responsibility projects at Drummond Ltd.

The commitment to cultural development has already begun to show results. Nine community-based organizations have been involved in the project, receiving technical and strategic support that will enable them to consolidate their initiatives in a sustainable manner and adapt them to the new challenges of the sector.

In addition, 27 cultural managers have strengthened their skills through training processes in project management, co-creation and innovative business models, becoming transformational leaders who drive change from their territories.

“Mosaic has positively impacted us in many ways. This is the first time that we have partnered with a private company like Drummond, which has promoted our initiative and provided us with the tools to continue strengthening our organization,” said José Miguel Tolosa, partner and representative of the administrative processes of the Los Cumbacheros Foundation.

MOSAICO is also committed to the creation of a value network that stimulates innovation, collaboration and the strengthening of local capacities. One of the most distinctive elements in the execution of this initiative is audiovisual ethnography, a tool that allows participants to tell their own stories, document their processes and connect with new audiences.

These authentic narratives not only boost the visibility of their initiatives, but also reinforce their cultural identity and amplify their impact, demonstrating that culture can be a transformative force in territorial development.

With MOSAICO, Drummond Ltd. reaffirms its commitment to the integral development of communities, demonstrating that strategic social investment can transform lives, rescue traditions and energize local economies based on culture.
