Within the framework of its corporate social responsibility, Drummond Ltd. made the delivery of furnishings to the San Antonio Educational Center, Escuela Nueva Argentina Sur, located in rural La Jagua de Ibirico.
“At Drummond we continue to demonstrate our commitment to contribute to improving the educational quality of communities in our area of influence. By supplying these furnishings, we help to ensure that the children of this village have optimal conditions to receive their classes,” said Javier Galeano Guzmán, coordinator of community relations and government at Drummond Ltd.
It should be noted that the Nueva Argentina Sur school headquarters was recently built by Drummond, with an investment of more than 700 million pesos.
“We are very grateful for the school funding we are receiving. This contributes to the education of our children who are the future of the territory,” said Wilmer Vides Padilla, communal leader of the village Argentina Sur.
The furniture included 35 desks, 20 primary school stalls, 10 preschool stalls, 5 dining tables and 40 chairs, 2 lockers, 2 boards, and an ecological point.
“We are extremely grateful to Drummond for the significant endowment it has given to the Argentina Sur village school. This shows their commitment to the education of our municipality,” added Iader Gutierrez Rosado, secretary of education at La Jagua de Ibirico.
Drummond will continue to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, through its Social Responsibility strategy, in this case, Quality Education, Reducing Inequalities, Health, and Welfare, contributing to the improvement of the educational spaces of public institutions in the region.
