Within the framework of its commitment to generate a positive impact in its area of influence in Cesar, Drummond Ltd. socialized construction projects for two community halls, one in the Los Cerrajones village and another in the Ojo de Agua village, in the municipality of Chiriguana. In addition, it will adapt the kitchen-dining room of the La Palmita Educational Institution, in La Jagua de Ibirico.

With these projects we reinforce the educational and community infrastructure through investments that provide optimal and better spaces to the communities of the municipalities of Chiriguana and La Jagua de Ibirico, Cesar,” commented Javier Galeano Guzman, community relations and government coordinator for Drummond Ltd.
Close to 1,200 people will benefit with these projects, which will be 100% financed by the mining company after an investment of $480 million pesos.
“This project conducted by Drummond generates benefits in the well-being of children and young people so that they can learn and be professionals in the future,” thanked Esther Hernandez, president of the Community Action Board of the El Cañahuate neighborhood of La Palmita.
“I thank Drummond for the opportunity they offer the community through the construction of this important, long-needed community hall. The company, under its Good Neighbor policy, has made several contributions in its areas of influence,” said Jaider Coronel, community leader.
