* The recertification of the BASC standard was granted to Drummond Port for one more year.
The Drummond Ltd. port facility received recertification in the BASC (Business Alliance for Secure Commerce) Version 6-2022 standard for meeting the requirements and compliance of the control and security management system in its operations.
It should be noted that the BASC is an international business alliance that promotes safe international trade and directs organizations to operate in an agile, legal, and safe manner, through the application of globally endorsed procedures.
Therefore, the company was assessed and approved with respect to the BASC international norm and standards, aligned with minimum C-TPAT safety requirements, with scope as a Coal Port-Exporter in Cienaga, Magdalena, Colombia.
“With this certification, the work of implementing safety procedures and controls is confirmed in all port facility processes, team work, and compliance with global safety standards that generate credibility and trust in the supply chain, as well as compliance and client’s expectations in the foreign market”, indicated Carlos Beltran, Physical Safety Director at the Port.
In this way, Drummond Ltd.’s work to promote a culture of safety and the permanent compliance of the parameters established by the BASC is observed, apart from certifications with which the company can guarantee the control and operational safety at its facilities.
