Within the framework of its commitment to contribute to the development of children and young adults in its zone of influence in Cesar, Drummond Ltd socialized educational infrastructure projects in the municipalities of El Paso and Bosconia.
“Drummond continues to contribute by strengthening its area of influence’s community institutional capacity, especially at the educational level of these municipalities, coordinating the development of projects that seek to advance the quality of the infrastructure of these institutions,” mentioned Javier Galeano Guzmán, community relations coordinator for Drummond Ltd.

Together with the El Paso Mayor’s Office, he announced to the community a project that includes the construction of a multiple-use classroom and general adaptations to the existing infrastructure of the Nationalized Educational Institution of El Paso, Sabanitas headquarters.
Likewise, the mining company, in coordination with the Bosconia Mayor’s Office, socialized the second stage of the relocation project of the 18 de Febrero Kindergarten of the Carlos Restrepo Araújo Educational Institution, which includes the construction of a kitchen-dining room and a multiple-use classroom, in benefit of more than 160 students.
“Today we welcome with joy the continuity of this work that will soon be a reality for our students. We are grateful to Drummond for making the execution of this project possible in our educational establishment, which will generate safe and better school environments,” thanked Inés Rodríguez teacher, at the Carlos Restrepo Araújo Educational Institution.
This project, which in its initial phase included the construction of three classrooms and a sanitary battery, is being executed and all costs are being paid by Drummond, with an investment of more than 631 million pesos.
Héctor Medina, father of one of the students, expressed his gratitude to the company: “These projects make me very happy because with this progress that Drummond is making towards our municipalities, they ensure that children have a decent space for their classes and in this way, new generations can take advantage of it.”
The project in El Paso will be executed in three months, and the one in Bosconia, is already in its final stage.
Through the Comprehensive Development pillar of its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and in contribution to the fulfillment of the United Nations Development and Quality Education objective, Drummond will continue working to contribute to the generation of safe environments and adequate spaces for the learning process of the children and young people of the region.
