Drummond received SENA instructor’s from different regional campuses around the country at its mining operations

As part of its commitment towards improving relationships and exchange of experiences with its stakeholders, Drummond Ltd. received a visit from 22 instructors from the National Learning Center, SENA, from its campuses around the country, who conducted a walkthrough of the Pribbenow mine and were able to observe the optimization the company has achieved in its mining operation maintenance processes.

“The goal of the instructors’ visit to Drummond, is to strengthen the relationships between the SENA and our company, to be able to improve the skills of maintenance technicians and mining equipment operators who are trained at this entity, and with this, be safer and more productive when they arrive at the company”, expressed José Elias Arzuaga, Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor for Drummond Ltd.

During the walkthrough, the visitors were able to observe Drummond Ltd.’s commitment to sustainable mining in great detail, achieving a balance between a productive, safe, and responsible operation with the environment.

“We are thankful to Drummond and its team in the maintenance department for this magnificent transfer of knowledge. For us, it is extremely important to continue strengthening our knowledge by focusing on new technologies developed in the country”, commented César Bohórquez, SENA, Distrito Capital, instructor.

The visit was conducted within the framework of a day of training in heavy mining maintenance equipment, for all the institution’s instructors at a national level led by the SENA campus in La Jagua de Ibirico, with the involvement of instructors from campuses in the departments of Cesar, Cundinamarca, Magdalena, Valle, La Guajira, Bolívar, Boyacá, Santander, Norte de Santander, Antioquia, and the Capital District.

In the regions we had not been aware of all the virtues that this outstanding company has, and we hope to continue counting on them for our next initiatives”, stated Karoline Lancheros, promoter of the automotive network at SENA, Bogotá.

In this way, Drummond continues showing its commitment with strengthening the competencies of the educational entities in its area of influence and the country, through the exchange of experiences in its operations.
