Valledupar, July 11, 2022
At the XIX Bolivarian Games Valledupar 2022, Colombians in every discipline brought honor to the country. In total, the national delegation obtained 354 medals, of which 171 were gold, 104 silver, and 79 bronze.
Drummond Ltd. also participated in the Games, as an official sponsor. With this second sponsorship of the Bolivarian Games, through an agreement with the Colombian Olympic Committee, the company strengthened its support for sports and for weaving social fabric in the Department and the country.
“Sports are a basic element of the Comprehensive Development pillar of our Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy, because Drummond Ltd. believes that sports can bring the community together, provide help for individuals, and also strengthen the social fabric,” said the president of Drummond Ltd., Jose Miguel Linares.
The Games’ flame has now gone out, but a fire remains lit in Cesar. It’s a fire of passion for sports, and a passion to continue creating legends. The company was present at the Games, accompanying the spectators and athletes in the city’s different sports arenas and handing out articles such as t-shirts, bags, hats, and other souvenirs, as a way of continuing to support peaceful coexistence and reaffirm its commitment to the communities.
Inside the company, employees were given an opportunity to experience the passion of the Games and participate in contests to demonstrate their skills and their knowledge of sports.
“I want to thank Drummond for its support and its contribution to all the athletes in its area of influence, and especially its support for the Bolivarian Games 2022. Drummond and the Bolivarian Games united for sports!” said Oscar Muñoz, Olympic medalist in Taekwondo in London 2012.
